Weekend Celebrations

We were so blessed to celebrate all that God has done for us and for Jahara with great friends and family. It was such a super weekend of joy and laughter and we are truly grateful for all who came to join in the festivities with us. It was without a doubt a memorable weekend that we will carry with us for the rest of our lives.

Thank you for all the support along the way. Thank you to the residents’ families who joined us and for those in recovery that just showed us that life in recovery is so worth it. Thank you to the Gathering Place church for your support and for the service on Sunday.

Apart from the celebration of recovery the weekend was also a celebration of Jahara's 1 year, of my birthday and of Alan’s birthday. It started with a wonderful breakfast on Friday morning (thank you Deon and Leonora) followed by a stunning evening of praise and worship and an awesome Braai (Thank you to the band, to Laura, Sam, Steffin, DD, Nirvahn, Clint and especially Corne for all the hard work) and thank you to Amafu Forrest Lodge for hosting us.

Saturday was a marvelous day of breakfast at Jahara, walks along the Blyde and then to Swadini and finally to Maholoholo Rehabilitation Centre. The spit Braai on Saturday was the perfect way to end the day (Thank you to Wynand and the staff of Amafu for such awesome food). We hope that you all got a taste of life and recovery at Jahara Treatment Centre.

Sunday was a remarkable day with a recovery orientated service, the band was excellent, the testimonies inspiring and the sermon by Alan an anointed message. We could not have asked for a better way to end the weekend. For the few that stayed behind, Sunday evening was spent with Dave G on their game farm having one last braai and enjoying the fellowship of good people.

Thank you everyone for making the effort to come and support us. Thank you to everyone for all you have done to help Jahara get off the ground. We are so excited to see what God is going to do.
